Jennifer teaches an intelligent and intuitive class. She is clear, lively and present in the room. Her manner and delivery are refreshingly free of sanctimony. Best of all, she is able to read a room of students with varying levels of experience and teach thoughtfully to the beginners, the teachers and everyone in between. – Bianca Piccillo
"Yoga? Me? No way.
I had avoided doing yoga my entire life. For 37 years it wasn't "for me", it was too mellow, too quiet, too stretchy.
I was more of a casual runner, more inclined to go to a kick-boxing class, something more sweaty and active.
But one day chilly day I met her in the park and she planted the yoga seed in my head; she told me that hot yoga would be good for my sore back and open up my tight hips. She told me that I could just come to her class some time, that she'd help me modify my practice to ease up on my weak wrists. "Just come by and try my class, you'll like it."
So I did, and she was right. Her class was not too mellow, and in fact, it was not quiet at all.
I was sweating, I was learning how to breathe, loudly. I was cursing Jennifer and respecting her all in one restorative pose.
I quickly became addicted, I promptly carved out time for 3 classes a week, and when Jennifer wasn't there, I missed her teaching and her extraordinary practice. Her classes are unique, heartfelt, very challenging and fortifying. Jen is an amazing athlete and a free spirit and you feel all of that translating through her practice. Hands down, she's the best yoga teacher I have ever had and she has given me a foundation that I will continue to build upon." – Theo Torchio
Jennifer is a very grounded teacher whose presence mirrors the intention of the practice. I appreciate that her articulation of each pose is precise enough that I am moving into the best form. She's also consistently hands on with adjustments throughout each class. Her classes always challenge me and I feel totally free to shift into a slower or beginner state if that is what my body requires that day. She's delightful and an excellent teacher. – Jennifer Goodson
Jennifer's love of yoga, energy, and spirit shines through in her heated vinyasa classes and onto her students. The classes are challenging, rewarding, clarifying and generally kick ass. She has helped me to improve upon my practice, learn to be more present and improve on my ujjayi breathing. The physical and mental benefits from your practice with Jennifer will long last the hour in the classroom, and behoove you on and off the mat. – Jenny Ma
I work in a demanding and often stressful field and I honestly don't think I would be able to manage without Jennifer's class. Jennifer is an excellent teacher and her class is the perfect combination of demanding and rewarding. Before I found her class, I tried going to yoga a number of times but I was never was able to commit. Her helpful and supportive teaching has encouraged me to really learn the practice and make yoga part of my life. – Ben Welikson
